I believe the purpose of counseling is first and foremost to provide understanding into our experience.  By providing new insights, highlighting old patterns, and challenging the way we view others and ourselves, counseling can help us move past some of the things that may be holding us back from a better, fuller life.  Sometimes there’sno getting around tough circumstances, but changing the way you handle them can make a big difference.  It doesn’t take much to go from feeling completely in control to completely overwhelmed.  Sadness, isolation, anxiety… whether it’s a lifelong struggle or a season of life that just doesn’t seem to be passing, we all experience times when it would help to have someone in our corner. 


I am passionate about helping people better understand themselves and more effectively navigate life.  My approach investigates not only the problematic ways we think, but also the meaning we give to our own feelings and relationships.  I can work with issues including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, relationship difficulties, and adjustment problems.  I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Texas.  I completed my PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University of Oklahoma in 2014.
